The Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy is a registered charity which is committed to providing osteopathic care for children regardless of their family’s ability to pay. Treatment takes place at the Osteopathic Centre for Children (OCC), the clinical arm of the Foundation, and we offer up to 30,000 treatments annually to children up to the age of eighteen and peri-natal mothers.
In addition to the Wandsworth clinic, our osteopaths have worked alongside doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals offering specialist osteopathic care to babies and children in hospitals for more than ten years. Consultant paediatric osteopaths from the OCC run weekly clinics in Barnet General Hospital, where patients are treated in neonatal intensive care units, special care baby units and the general paediatric ward.
In addition to this, the Foundation provides specialist paediatric education for osteopaths with and has become a world-recognized learning institution. Each year, we offer up to twenty-five qualified osteopaths places on our unique Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy course. To date, over two hundred osteopaths have graduated from our two-year programme.
The Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy is also the centre of a world-wide network of practitioners and international lecturers. We have over two hundred Alumni Members and forty Associate Members who practise throughout the United Kingdom, continental Europe, Australia, Israel and the United States of America.
